Transducer Design Engineer
Trans-Tek, Inc., a 40-year manufacturer of position sensing transducers, has an immediate opening for an accomplished Transducer Design Engineer to design, develop and support sensors, signal conditioners and industrial controls. We specialize in proprietary and custom linear displacement, linear velocity, and angular displacement transducers and related electronics, primarily for the industrial market.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, design, develop, and document transducers and support products in response to company goals or customer needs
- Define and perform/oversee qualification testing of new products and upgrades to existing lines
- Define and perform/oversee special product testing in response to customer requirements
- Research and develop new product offerings to meet company objectives
- Provide in-house product support to Manufacturing and QC
- Provide in-house product support to Sales and Marketing
- Tackle wide range of projects at the direction and support of management
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. Transducer Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineer, or related – will also consider Advanced Associates degree in similar fields, with at least 5 years transducer experience
- Entry level to 5 years work experience designing electro-mechanical sensors
- Familiar with analog and digital electronics
- Proficient in AutoCAD, working knowledge of Visual Basic, experienced in Microsoft Office products
- Good written documentation and communication skills
- Self-starter, hands-on person who understands the importance of being flexible in a small company environment

Sales/Applications Engineer
Trans-Tek, Inc., a 40-year manufacturer of position sensing transducers, has an immediate opening for an inside Sales/Applications Engineer. We specialize in proprietary and custom linear displacement, linear velocity, and angular displacement transducers and related electronics, primarily for the industrial market.
The ideal candidate will develop solutions to customers’ position sensing problems by matching our products to their applications, and will provide full support to our domestic and international sales representatives.
We are seeking a dynamic person that will grasp this role quickly and eventually assume responsibilities of Sales/Marketing Manager. Only high-energy, creative self-starters that can help grow the company will be considered.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical support for solving customer applications

Assist domestic and foreign field representatives with sales and technical support

Address customer service inquiries such as quote requests and order placement

Interface between Sales and all other company departments, i.e. Engineering, Production, Quality, etc.

Learn all aspects of Sales & Marketing involving the sensors industry
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-year technical degree, B.S.E.E. or B.S.M.E. preferred

Above average problem solving ability

Excellent interpersonal skills

Good oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
